After a disastrous 20o8 season, Padres GM Kevin Towers has been trying his damnest to rebuild the bullpen which performed miserably. After a few weeks in Peoria, Towers still feels uneasy with the pen and hinted he may be venturing through the waiver-wire and trade route. I am glad to see Towers on the edge, because he is sending a loud and clear message to the players as well to the fan base. Being a contrarian that I am, within the next few weeks I see Towers making some moves to solidify the pen.

Today, Padres P Jake Peavy will pitch for Team USA in the World Baseball Classis against the Northern Neighbors, Team Canada. USA ! USA !
