The Team Does Not Cut It Out, Time To Get Rid Of A Few…..

How could I say this? Well, it surely does not take a rocket scientist or in fact front office personnel to determine that the Padres NEED to get more sock out of the 3B position. No one in their right mind would want to play 2 million for a 3rd baseman who has only hit TWO homers in 2 1/2 months of the season. So it’s a good time to toss out some potential trade rumors. Why not? Padres baseball has been downright boring and predictable, thus some sense of urgency in regards to trade rumors can only stir the pot in the clubhouse.
Here are my trade rumors and this comes straight out of my mouth, no factual statements from other sources.

  1. Trade 3B Chase Headley, SS Jason Bartlett, and AAA P Matt Buschmann to New York Mets for SS Jose Reyes.
  2. Trade P Heath Bell and 3B Jorge Cantu to Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim for 2B Howard Kendrick

The potential line-up could look like this for a while:

  1. SS Jose Reyes
  2. RF Chris Denorfia
  3. 2B Howard Kendrick
  4. LF Ryan Ludwich
  5. 1B Anthony Rizzo
  6. C Nick Hundley
  7. 3B Logan Forsythe
  8. CF Will Venable

Yeah I know, I might be reaching but hell ! Some dreams do come true and if Padres GM Jed Hoyer wants to create his legacy in San Diego. What more could he do, if Hoyer made a pitch for Mets SS Jose Reyes, whom would be an ideal fit for Petco Park and NL West. Though at the moment, this current Padres team isn’t cutting it out and there is a black snake in Petco Park. Here is a blues music video featuring Samuel L. Jackson called “Black Snake Moan” from the Movie.
