The old saying goes if the players are not responding, you can only get rid a few of them. What’s next ? It has become downright embarrassing and sickening to watch Padres baseball on local and now nationally TV. Has Padres’ Mgr Buddy Black lost his touch ? I know last year collapse is still burning among us Padres Fans. Since that August collapse the Padres baseball club has not been the same. What makes me wonder is on Friday night, bases loaded NO OUTS and Mgr Buddy Black never called for a squeeze play. Let me ask you a simple question, if you have a team that KO’s the majority of the time, wouldn’t it be wise to PUT THE BALL IN PLAY ? Hell, we used to do that in little league, just bunt or squeeze the runner in. Force the issue, make the OTHER TEAM make a play.

Where is the accountability in this team this year? Let’s hope that Buddy Black is not the 21st Century Gene Mauch. Even Mauch would force his players to bunt, get some wood on the ball. Yanno, easy eye and bat control to produce some type of results. It’s pathetic, 15 shutouts before the All-Star break. Please Jed Hoyer make a trade, ummm not for some prospects. Because evidently the strategy of bunting is not being preached or wise pinch hitting substitutions are not being made. We can not ill afford to dismiss such fundamentals especially when your players can not hit at all. Enough Said….

It’s the All-Star, thank god Padres Fans !! We can no longer stomach the baseball and as the Padres have done. It’s that time to Pack It Up and head to the beach.
