The boys did it again, this time hammering the Venezuela team 15-6 and Adam Dunn big bat doing some damage. USA has the next two days off (Monday and Tuesday) before taking on the winner of Italy vs Venezuela on Wednesday night. What a surprise to see the home team -Canadians- eliminated by Italy ! The competition in the WBC is getting tougher based on the upsets through each regional.
USA Heath Bell
USA Heath Bell made an appearance and closed out the game against Venezuela. That’s two Padres making contributions to squad USA. Way to go Boys ! Also, Panama’s Luis Durango played well in Puerto Rico and showed flashes of his speed by stealing a base. Yet another Padre player to have made an impact in the WBC.
Now, the boys are off to Miami after Wednesday’s game…..Hit it Will Smith…..
